Re-establishing Online Presence for The Spa at Hornby

Recently we were approached by the owner of The Spa at Hornby, Diane, after her current website had been taken down and wasn’t able to be recovered. This left them without a functioning website for the business!

We got started right away with a call to discuss the business in more detail, and Diane’s passion really shone through. We chatted about everything they had to offer and how their spa stood out from the crowd, offering unique and exclusive treatments and products to their clientele.

Following this we mapped out a site map, detailing the pages and journeys visitors to the website would take. This is an important stage so that we can ensure it serves the right people in the right way. The team then wrote up all the content for the website based on the call we had with Diane and the site map. During this stage it’s essential to make sure we’re speaking to the right audience and the language we’re using really aligns with them.

As the content was being crafted, we discussed with Diane the visuals for the website. We redrew the logo for the website as this had been done a while ago and we didn’t have an up to date digital copy. In addition to this, with the last website being lost this meant we didn’t have much in the way of photography.

We recommended that Diane book a session with a photographer to capture The Spa in the best light so we could effectively paint a picture for website visitors, so they could really see themselves enjoying a relaxing treatment at The Spa.

On our recommendation, Diane booked a session with Tracy Kidd Photography who was amazing in taking the perfect photos of The Spa with Diane.

Once the content was approved we moved onto the design stage of the website, which is so exciting to see it coming to life combining our content and Tracy’s photography. We built the website on a temporary domain so that Diane could check and approve before we set it live.

Diane loved the website at the initial viewing and with minimal tweaks we soon launched it and re-establishing The Spa’s online presence.
